Welcome to my YouTube channel

No matter what kind of life transition you’re going through, my videos will help you with your journey. Check them out below and subscribe to the channel here.

In this final video of my Who Are You Now? series, I’m talking about a belief that keeps people stuck after they leave full-time work: the quiet thought that says, “It’s too late now.” I’ve heard this from so many people, and I’ve felt it myself.

It’s never too late to become more yourself. Retirement doesn’t have to mean shrinking your dreams or settling into a smaller version of life. It can be a time to explore, experiment, create, contribute, and discover what still lights you up.

In this video, I’ll talk about:
– why the “it’s too late” belief is often really about fear
– how starting imperfectly can open doors you never expected
– why wisdom, resilience, and self-knowledge are powerful tools in later life
– how to give yourself permission to want more from this next chapter
This video closes the Who Are You Now? series, where we’ve explored identity, purpose, values, and designing a retirement that feels meaningful and true to who you are now.

It's not too late

It's not too late

In this final video of my Who Are You Now? series, I’m talking about a belief that keeps people stuck after they leave full-time work: the quiet thought that says, “It’s too late now.” I’ve heard this from so many people, and I’ve felt it…
For the first stretch of my retirement, my diary was packed. Committees, classes, coffees, errands, and a hundred yeses I should never have given. I told everyone I was thriving. Quietly, I felt hollow.
Then I overcorrected. I cleared the diary. Tuesdays started to feel like Saturdays. I floated. And that didn’t feel right either.
If your retirement is starting to feel one of those two ways — too full, or too flat — this video is for you. It’s about the two traps almost every retiree falls into with their time, and the four-part framework I now use (and teach) to design days that actually feel like yours.
Here’s what we cover:
🔹 The Busyness Trap — why packing your diary leaves you feeling hollow
🔹 The Drifting Trap — why total freedom can feel like floating
🔹 The 4 Ingredients of a fulfilling retirement: Health & Vitality, Meaningful Connections & Growth, Living with Purpose, and Dreaming Big
🔹 The simple “draw your week” exercise I use
🔹 The one small change that can shift everything in your week

This is Video 3 in my “Who Are You Now?” series. In the final video, I’ll share the one belief that quietly keeps most retirees stuck — even when everything else looks fine.

Designing your days in retirement

Designing your days in retirement

For the first stretch of my retirement, my diary was packed. Committees, classes, coffees, errands, and a hundred yeses I should never have given. I told everyone I was thriving. Quietly, I felt hollow. Then I overcorrected. I cleared the diary. Tuesdays started to feel…
For many years, I knew exactly who I was. I had a title and a a role that shaped my days and defined how I introduced myself to the world. Then I retired — and that whole scaffolding came down overnight. If you've felt that strange, hollow "who am I now?" moment since leaving your career, you're not imagining it.

Neuroscience research shows our brains genuinely wire identity around what we do every day. When the role ends, the wiring has to change — and that change is uncomfortable before it becomes freeing.

In this video I share:

-Why losing your title can feel like grief (and why that's actually normal)
-The difference between your role and your identity — and why we confuse the two
-Three questions that helped me rediscover who I am beyond the job description
-How to rebuild an identity that isn't tied to a paycheque or a LinkedIn headline
-Why this season of life can become the most authentic chapter yet

You are not your job title. You never were. This video is about finding the person underneath — the one who was always there.

How to rebuild your identity after the career ends

How to rebuild your identity after the career ends

For many years, I knew exactly who I was. I had a title and a a role that shaped my days and defined how I introduced myself to the world. Then I retired — and that whole scaffolding came down overnight. If you've felt that…
I woke up one Tuesday morning, a few months after leaving a long career, and realised no one needed me to be anywhere. No meetings. No urgent emails. No one waiting for my decision on anything. Instead of feeling free, I felt untethered. Like I’d stepped off a stage and the lights had gone out.

If you’ve felt something like that — or you’re starting to — this video is for you. It’s about the identity shift that happens in retirement, why nobody prepares us for it, and how to start writing a new story instead of grieving the old one.
Here’s what we cover:
🔹 Why retirement triggers an identity crisis — even when you chose to leave
🔹 The quiet question that creeps in when the house is still
🔹 The difference between your role identity and your core identity
🔹 Why discomfort in this transition is actually an invitation
🔹 How I found my way from “who was I?” to “who am I becoming?”
This is Video 1 in my “Who Are You Now?” series. In the next video, we go deeper into separating who you were professionally from who you’re becoming.
